EXPORT MEAT PRICES.

The New Zealand Meat Producers’ Board at a meeting at Wellington last week gave lengthy consideration to the question of the opening schedule prices for the forthcoming season, and later the Board met the Minister of Finance (the Hon. W. Nash) and submitted certain proposals to him for consideration by the Government. As soon as a reply is received from the Minister, it will be considered by a special committee which lias been set tip. Opportunity was taken to discuss with Mr Nash several other subjects, including matters relating to the Meat Pool Account, pelt prices, and the manpower position at freezing works.
