NEW RATION-BOOKS.

ISSUE ON MONDAY. Issuing of the new ration bdoks will take place at the Ashburton Post Office on Monday and Tuesday, and from then onward at the Masonic Hall, opposite the Municipal Council Chambers, in Havelock Street. Hours of business will be from 9 a.m. to 1.2.30 p.m., and from 1.30 to 4.30 pan. It was the intention of the postal authorities to use the hall for the whole of the issuing period, but it is. not available for the first two days. It is anticipated that business will not be very brisk during the first two clays at the Post Office, most people preferring to wait till the Masonic Hall is available and so avoid congestion and long periods of waiting.
