Along the Irrawaddy and the Lower Chindwin 13 loaded supply sampans were sunk and sa number of others damaged. Damage was also inflicted on sampans and other river craft on the Kaladan River. “A few miles east of' McL Tila, Beaufighters wrecked a locomotive with cannon a machine-gun attack. “A formation of Vengeance divebombers attacked a Japanese supply depot at Baguua, south of Buthidaung, and many bombs were seen to burst on the target.
