MISSIONARY UNION.

THE HINDS PRESBYTERIANS. The monthly meeting of the Hinds Presbyterian Women’s Missionary Union and Guild was held in the Church, Mrs Tait (vice-president) presiding over a good attendance. Mbtions of sympathy with Mesdames Mcßae, Scott and jßruce in their illnesses were carried. A motion of sympathy with the relatives of the late Mrs A. Moore was carried In silence. The financial statements were satisfactory.

Two missionary letters from the Rev. Mr Crump (New r Hebrides) and Sister Olga Waimara were read by the secretary.

Sister Mavis Patterson, of Ashburton, gave an instructive address on women’s work in the Church, for which she was accorded a vote of thanks.

Afternoon tea was served by the Hinds members, assisted by members Of the Girls’ Auxiliary, who also held their monthly meeting.
