IVUD-CANTERBURY applications,

A number of Mid-Canterbury cases were considered by the No. 108 Armed Services Appeal Board, sitting at Timaru yesterday: The Petrie Construction Company appealed in respect of Charles Milton Wellman, painter (Ashburton), Arthur Albert Jones, carpenter (Ashburton); Leslie Hubert Moriarty, carpenter (Ashburton). —All adjourned sine die. In appeals iu respect to John James Dickinson and Leslie Wilson (both of Ashburton) sine die adjournments were granted, the cases to be reviewed npt later than October 31 and every endeavour to be made in the meantime to release them.,

Sine die adjournment were granted as follows: George William Brand, tractor driver, Ashburton (estate G. Brand); Gerald Kenneth Campbell, farmer (Tinwald); Thomas Flynn, farmer (Dromore); Bertram Miles Jordan, baker (Ashburton); Joseph Aloysius Dolan, farmer (Rakaia); Albert Keith Hopkins, farmer (Tinwald); Norman James Hurst, farmer (Rakaia). »

The following appeal lodged by the Director of National Service was adjourned sine die: Anthony Robert Billings, tractor driver (Ashburton). Adjourned sine die owing to medical grading: Rex Douglas Butteriek, farmer (Ashburton); Thomas Robert Meaclem, farmer (Ashburton); James Leo Keane, - farmer (Winehmore); John Bruce Larnbie, farmer (Ashburton).
