700 RAIDERS AT ROME.
(Re c . 11.45) LONDON, July 29. If is disclosed that more than 700 bombers took part in the daylight raid on Rome on July 19. Eleven hundred tons of bombs were dropped. It is officially considered the most successful daylight operation of the war.
