PREDICTION OF SHORT SUPPLY. ADVICE BY THE MINISTER. (P.A.) WELLINGTON, This Day. Referring to the supply of seed potatoes for homo gardeners, the Minister of Agriculture (the Hon. J. G. Barclay) stated to-day that while the market still has supplies there is a possibility- that later in tho season seed potatoes may he in short, supply, duo to the greatly-increased acreage required to he planted by commercial growers to meet the needs of ihe Aldiod armed forces next season. In urging home gardeners to obtain supplies as early as possible', the .Minister said that one could not predict how long seed potatoes would still he available from retailers.
