CLOSING OF GENERAL ROLL. FINAL DAY NEXT MONDAY. (P.A.)‘ WELLINGTON, This Day. The Prime Minister (the Rt. Hon. p. Fraser) announced to-day that the general rolls to be used at the forthcoming General Election will close on Monday next. July 12. THE MASTERTON SEAT.
(P.A.) MASTERTON, July 7. Mr G. H. Mackley, former general manager of the New Zealand Railways, has been selected as the National Party candidate for Masterton. The sitting member, Mr J. Robertson, has been chosen as the Labour candidate.
