Sir, —Concerning the letter about the persecution of Jews, in answering “Enquirer,” the monarch in both instances was Frederick the Great oi Prussia. He asked lhs chaplain, “Give me an evidence of Christianity in a word.” The reply was, “The Jew.” And again, when lie wrote to the governor of one of his provinces, he said: “Let those Jews alone; no -man ever touched them and prospered.” R.
