SALT FROM THE SEA.

TORONTO, June 27. A local war factory, collaborating with a naval research unit has designed a device lor tin* extraction ot salt from sea water by freezing it. The machine is at present too heavy to bo carried in other than regulation lifeboats, ft will withstand any weather while it is not affected by immersion in sea water. The machine is hand operated and so simple that a child could use it.
