A vote of sympathy was passed by tho Ashburton United Friendly Societies’ Association last evening with Mr C. M. limes in his bereavement. Mr Lines was formerly a representative on, the Board of the Association.
Sergeant C. C. Osborne, of Ashburton, is a. member of the Now Zealand Catalina Flying-boat Squadron, tho seventh Dominion squadron in Great Britain, which the New Zealand Minister of Defence (the Hon. F. Jones) visited during his trip to that country, says a message from the special correspondent inv London of tho New Zealand Press Association.
