MISSIONARY UNION.
ANNUAL MAYFIELD MEETING. The annual meeting of the Mayfield branch of the Presbyterian Women’s Missionary Union was held on Wednesday afternoon, when Mrs J. D. Murdoch presided over a large attendance of members and .visitors. Tho new members were welcomed. A credit balance of £l3 14s 3d was reported. Of this amount £lO will bo given to the treasurer for allocation to the various missions of the Church, and £1 to tho Women’s Training Institute in Dunedin.
The annual report stated that there wore 35 financial members and 21 subscribers to the Harvest Field. The sum of £2 14s 3d was brought in for tho Maori Mission Birthday League Fund. Toil new members were welcomed.
Tho following officers were elected: President, Mrs O. Sewell; vice-presi-dents, Mesdames W. M. Turner and H. R. Tasker; secretary, Mrs G. J. Murdoch; treasurer, Mrs A. Murdoch; Harvest Field secretary, Mrs G. A. Meikle; budget secretary, Mrs R. Austin ; Maori Mission Birthday League secretary, Miss Norma Marsh; stamps and corresponding members’ secretary, Mrs H. R. Tasker.
It was decided to send a parcel of warm clothing to the Maori Mission at To Whati. Mrs Turner read an interesting letter from Mrs Freeman, of the To Whati Misssion House.
