LEND-LEASE AID.
RUSSIA STATES HER NEEDS. (Roc. 12.30). NEW YORK, May 12. A lend-lease agreement adjusted to Russia’s new needs is being worked out, says the Washington correspondent of the “Herald-Tribune.” It is learned in Washington that the Russians asked for more food, industrial machinery, and machine tools, which they desire should he given priority-in shipping, indicating that Soviet production has reached a stage where tho needs for finished war materials are diminishing, Russia also asked for raw materials—steel, armour plate, copper, chemicals, explosives, communications equipment and transport vehicles.
