THE ASHBURTON STOCK MARKET GOOD ENTRY OF FAT SHEEP PRICES SHOW LITTLE CHANGE Although the yarding of fat sheep at the stock sale at the Ashburton yards to-day was a. good one, there was only a small proportion ol' quality. Prices for good ewes ranged from 10s to 21s 7d, medium 13s to 16s and light 7s Cd to 13s. Lambs were from 17s 10a to 30s 9d. The highest, price of the sale was 32s for a lamb. For ewes the highest price went to Francis Tasker for a pen of nine at 21s 7d. Another pen also brought 21s 7d. These prices are about the same as those at the last sale. The entry of lambs was larger than usual. There was a correspondingly good entry of fat cattle. The principal prices were: Fat Ewes—On account of E. N. Vigers (Elgin), 5 at 19s 7d, 3 at 14s 4di K.
