PATRIOTIC FUNDS.
Contributions to the Ashburton County’s patriotic quota lor April totalled £438 15s. Of this sum, £320 13s 5d was realised after April 20. Proceeds from the Chcrtsey Patriotic Committee’s gymkhana totalled £96 5s lid, and tlio biggest contributions toward the remainder were £B7 from the Ashburton Forks-Groenstreet Patriotic Committee, '£49 from Dromore and £3B from Lyndhurst.
