FAREWELL SOCIAL.
PRESENTATIONS AT WILLOWBY.
A farewell social was tendered to Mr and Mrs Joseph Taylor, who recently left tho district to reside at Tinwald. Mr R. J. Chapman presided over a good attendance. Tho guests of tho evening were presented with an eiderdown quilt. Mr Chapman and the Rev. W. W. Avery made short speeches. Mrs Chalmers presented Mrs Taylor with a shoulder spray.
The programme was: ’Cello solo, Miss 11. Lill; vocul solos, Miss At. Chapman; fancy dances, Miss M. Chalmers; recitation, Master M. Lattimore; duets, Misses M. and J : . Shaiv; fancy dances, Miss H. Mackay; vocal solos, Mr Hollow; trios, Mrs D. Shaw and Misses Lill; vocal duets, Miss E. Lill and Mrs S. H. Lill; dance and action songs, Miss P. Harvey; recitations, Mrs S. H. Lill. After a supper dancing was indulged in, Mrs Shaw being pianist and Mr Stuart Macintosh master of ceremonies. The accompanists for the concert were Miss Marjory Chapman, Miss M. Lill, Mrs D. Shaw, Mrs S. 11. Lill and Mr Hollow.
