HIRE BRIGADES’ COMPETITION.
FAIRFIELD TEAM’S SUCCESS
Teams from the Ashburton, Fairfield Works and Emergency Precautions Services Fire Brigades took part in a hose drill competition during the weekend. Good times wore recorded in all events and Fairfield won the main event. In the last competition some weeks ago Fairfield carried off the laurels for the big event, the four-man hose drill. Details were: One-man Hose Drill—P. Baker, Ashburton (36 2-ssec) .1, S. Fussell and 11. Naish, E.P.S. (40 l-ssec) (equal) 2, W. Neal and W. Newlands, Ashburton (42sec), (equal) 3.
