Adjutant G. Spillett, who has been the officer in charge of the Ashburton Corps of tho Salvation Army for about 10 months, has been appointed to the command of the Invercargill Corps. He and Mrs Spillett will leave Ashburton in a fortnight’s time. Captain L. Lindsay, of Blenheim, will be transferred to Ashburton.

A motion of sympathy with Mrs Arthur Grigg, M.P.yin her illness was carried, by the Mid-Canterbury Provincial Executive of the Farmers’ Union yesterday A letter will be sent to her expressing a wish for her speedy recovery. Mr Raymond Oakley said that all members were aware of the great amount of work done by Mrs Grigg in Parliament to farther the interests of her district.
