AMERICAN FATALITY.

TWO KILLED, FOUR INJURED. (P.A.) WHANGAREI, April 28. (iSvo United States servicemen were killed and four were injured in an accident during manoeuvres. One serviceman was killed outright, and another was so seriously injured that he died in the Whangarei Public Hospital six hours after admission. Hospital doctors, in close co-operation with America}! doctors, fought hard for four hours to save the patient, on whom an operation was performed, and for whom comrades gave blood transfusions.

The four men injured are making excellent progress. The men were brought a considerable distance in two ambulances to Whangarei.
