X 13 COUPON FOR NEXT PERiOD.

-(P.A-) WELLINGTON, Jan. 25. The Food and Rationing Controller (Mr J. E. Thomas) announced that, the currency of the X 7 coupon for the purchase of hosiery definitely expires on January 31, For the period February 1 to July 31 coupon Xl3 is authorised for the purchase of fully-fashion-ed stockings of silk, artificial silk, or mixtures.

No trader may supply stockings of the specified type during this period except on the surrender of one Xl3 coupon for each pair. All other stockings may continue to be purchased with the M and O coupons, in accordance with the general coupon schedule. “Many inquiries have been received,” said Mr Thomas, “in connexion with holding sales to clear the season’s fashion goods. It has been decided that no reduction of coupon values will be permitted for sales during 1943.”
