THE MARETH LINE.

PROBABLY REACHED BY NAZIS.

ONLY STRONG REARGUARD LEFT (Rec. 10.55 a.m.) LONDON, Jan. 25. While .British troops are still advancing westwards, Marshal Rommel’s main troops have probably already reached the Maret'h Line area around Ben , Cardano and covering positions around Medenin, states a correspondent ,at Cairo. Marshal Rommel has left behind only a strong rearguard to hinder the advance of the British, who are in constant contact, while we are also advancing inland. Although Marshal Rommel will probably attempt to reinforce the positions he has reached ho will need to rest his men after their retreat, of 1600 miles.—British Official Wireless.
