RACE-TRAIN HITS GOODS VAN.

TWO TRUCK'S TELESCOPED. (P.A.) WELLINGTON, This Day. The 9.53 race-train to Trontham ran into the back of a goods train beyond Ngahauranga. The van of the goods train was derailed and thrown against the cycle track fence. Two of the trucks were telescoped. A large piece of wood went right into the guard’s van and pierced the roof. The accident seriously delayed race traffic, and the start of the meeting was delayed for an hour.
