Pilot Officer L. E. Carter, Adjutant of No, 24 Squadron, Air Training Corps, Ashburton, returned this morning from a course of instruction at a Royal New Zealand Air Force training centre in the North Island.

Appointments and promotions as follow are listed in the latest Gazette . Second-Lieutenant (temporary) W. 11. Dalton, N.Z. Infantry, to be lieutenant: Lieutenant J. F. Ilobilliard, N.Z. Artillery, appointed to the 2nd New Zealand Expeditionary Force; Major G. Brown, N.Z. Armoured Corps, appointed to the 3rd Battalion of that unit; ‘Lieutenant J’. B. Meeking appointed to the Ist Reinforcements; Captain (temporary) J. P. Gresson, Canterbury Regiment, is granted the temporary rank of major, while holding the appointment of brigade major and remains seconded.
