An Admiralty, communique states: “British submarines in the Mediterranean sank two more large enemy supply ships off the Gulf of Tunis. “Another submarine attacked an enemy destroyer that was escorting a large enemy supply ship off Bizerta. A torpedo hit. was scored, although the result of this attack could not be corroborated, the destroyer was not seen or heard again, and is thought to have been sunk.”—British Official Wireless.
