PIANO FOR TROOPS.

TRANSPORT TO NEW GUINEA. SYDNEY, Oct. 6. t A piano has been transported to New Guinea by air for the entertainment of the Allied troops. Mr Byrn Darnton, the correspondent of the “New York Times” in New Guinea, says that, the piano was carried in the bomb rack of a Flying Fortress and is now housed in a tent in the middle of the jungle. It is a first-class builder of morale, for troops from mile's round often borrow the piano, which is loaded on to a truck to visit the various units.
