ATTEMPT TO RUN BLOCKADE. CARGOES IN JAPANESE SHIPS. IMBBEB, TJX AX'D OTHER HOODS. (N.Z. Press Association-Copyright). (Roc. 1.30 a.m.) LONDON, .July 7. Japanese blockade runners are attempting to deliver large cargoes e ; f rubber, tin and other materials vital to Germany, says the “Daily Herald.” Freighters have been slipping from Japanese - controlled ports in the Ear East for weeks. Some have been sunk by British warships, but the Xavy has iis work cut out. The blockade-runners sail on “back-lane” routes with no lights and do net use radio. Some are trying the Cape Horn route, while others go by the Cape ol‘ Good Hope. Our occupation of Madagascar spiked a plan to refuel there mi the 16,000milc voyage to Germany. Xow they have to unload at North African polls. There is no evidence up to the present that Germany has tried to carry out her side of the bargain by sending 'machine tools and other finished goods to Japan.
