WOMEN’S DIVISION.

MID-CANTERBURY EXECUTIVE. There was a good attendance at the monthly meeting of the Mid-Canter-bury Provincial Executive of the Women’s Division of the Fanners’ Union, when the president (Airs Quantock) presided. Alesdames A. S. Hayman and M. Bennett were reappointed trustees of the banking section. The matter of knitting for the Alercliant Navy was discussed. It was decided to assist Airs Grigg with the next-of-lcin afternoon. Several gifts were handed in to be forwarded to scrap metal depots. ft was decided to inquire into the matter of coupons for the purchase of goods for soldiers and patriotic purposes. The “AV.D.F.U.” spinning machine was on view and it was decided to* arrange for a demonstration of spinning by an expert at an early date.
