PRINCESS ELIZABETH.
GRENADIER GUARDS INSPECTED. LONDON, April 21. The Grenadier Guards wore to-day inspected by Princess Elizabeth, wiio was recently appointed colonel of the regiment in succession to her greatuncle, the Duke of Connaught. The occasion, which marked the Princess’s 16th birthday, was the first official ceremony in which she has taken a leading part. The Princess was accompanied by the King and Queen and Princess Margaret Rose. The troops were drawn up on the green lawns of the inner quadrangle of AA'indsor Castle. Before the march past, which was witnessed by a party of officers of the Canadian Grenadiers, the Princess inspected and talked to representatives of the Grenadier Guards’ Old Comrades’ Association.—British Official Wireless.
