KILLED AT HER POST.

A MEMBER OF THE A.T.S. LONDON, April 20. The first personnel of the Auxiliary Territorial Service in the anti-aircraft command to die at the gun site as the result of enemy action, was killed by a bomb splinter as she stood at the predictor on a south coast gun site during a raid. She was Private Nora Caveney, aged 18. • She was actually following the enemy and “on the target” when she collapsed. Another girl, Private Gladys Keel, on duty as spotter, took her place at the predictor, and continued to follow the raider. The guns were able to continue firing without delay, and the other A.T.S. went on with their jobs throughout the rest of the raid, which lasted for nearly an hour. —British Official Wireless.
