ASHBURTON STOCK SALE. MARKET FIRMER TO-DAY. SMALL YAK DING OF STORKS. Prices l'ov Cat sheep were firmer and for some lines of ewes a rise of about Is a head was obtained at the fortnightly stock sale at the Ashburton yards to-day. There was a moderate yarding of fats, but there were only a few pens of stores. The attendance of farmers rvns small. Ewes ranged from 12s 4d to 16s .‘ld, wethers from 24s 6d to 28s. Top price for lambs was 26s 6d obtained by S. Robinson (Methven) for a pen of two. Prices up till mid-day were: Fat Ewes —On account of 4'. J. Lemon (Winchmore), 10 at 12s 4d. 10 at 13s 4d; H. M. Copeland (Dromore), 4 at 16s Id, 6 at 14s 4d, 6 at 16s lOd; Mrs Begg and Son (Wakanui). 10 at 14s Id, 9 at 16s 4d, 10 at 14s Id. 6 at 14s 4d; J.
