MORE ATTACKS ON MALTA. BOMBERS COME IN WAVES SOME CIVILIAN CASUALTIES (N.Z. Press Association—Copyright). (Rec. 11.55 a.m.) LONDON, April 19. With the return of fine weather the German Air Force renewed its attacks on Malta, and yesterday morning a number of German bombersi attacked an aerodrome. Enemy fighter patrols were active all the morning. Two hours after the first- attack four waves pf German bombers bombed the aerodrome arid harbour. ' They were engaged by heavy and light anti-air-craft defences, which also engaged later raiders. One Ju. 88 was destroyed and one probably destroyed as- well as one Ju. 87 probably destroyed. There were some civilian damage and casualties. Another raid was in progress at the time the message was sent.
