An “Awake New Zealand” campaign was at initiated at Gore last evening, with a largely-attended public meeting at which over £IOOO was -subscribed to assist the Home Guard in eastern Southland. The speakers were Mr F. G. Hall-Jones, of Invercargill, and Lieutenant-Colonel E. F. Selby. Group Director of the Home Guard.
