PORT MORESBY RAID.

HEAVIEST YET SUSTAINED. ONE RAIDER DESTROYED. (Roe. 0.55 a.m.) LONDON, Mar. 33. Australian messages report that little damage and no casualties were caused by the Japanese air raid on Port Moresby to-day, which is reported to be the heaviest yet made. Nineteen Japanese bombers and four fighters took part. One fighter was destroyed and another is believed to have been destroyed and a third damaged. . - A .Sydney report says that since the Japanese came to New Guinea two months ago they have suffered more damage than they have been able to inflict. • A correspondent estimates the Japanese losses in aircraft at more than 100, and their losses in ships at 50 ot all types. He says that even the Tokio radio admitted there bad been jOOO casualties at Rabaul. Incessant Allied attacks have interfered with the Japanese efforts to build up strength for a blow against Australia.
