WOMEN’S DIVISION.
THE SEAFIELD BRANCH. Several garments for tlio Merchant Navy Comforts Fund were handed in at llio March meeting; of the Seafield branch of the Women’s Division of the Now Zealand Fanners’ Union. The president (Mrs F. Johnson) presided. Competitions resulted: Chocoate cake; Seniors, Mrs R. Grice 1, Mrs J. Glassey 2. Mrs I?. Martin 8; juniors, Miss N. Dennison 1. Miss I. Grice “2. Child’s knitted cardigan: Seniors. Mrs J. Mitchell 1, Mrs E. Cro.v 2. Mrs K. Power 3; junior. Miss N. Dennison. Sweet corn: Mrs F. Johnson 1, Mrs J. Glassey 2. Cargo hloom : Miss J. Mitchell and Mrs R. Grice (equal) 1. Sinn 11 hloom : Mrs K. Power 1, INLi’s R. Martin 2. Miss E. Martin 3. Spike: Miss J. Mitchell and Mrs 1?. Grice (equal) 1. Mrs It. Martin 3. Cluster: Mrs J. Gregory and Mrs R. Martin (equal) 1, M iss E. Martin 3. Mrs R. Jackson and Miss M. Robertson were hostesses.
