ALLENTON WOMEN’S INSTITUTE. Members of the Allenton Women’s Institute held a successful garden party at “Ooniston.” yesterday afternoon, the gathering including a large number of friends. Tennis and competitions with afternoon tea. served on the lawn provided an enjoyable outing. A variety stall in charge of Mrs 1.. Walker and Mrs MeElhinney did brisk business. Winners of competitions were: —Felt hag: Mrs Cl lions Tennis: Miss Clark. Croquet: Mrs Knox 1, Mrs Rrnwley 2. Putting. Mrs Stevens 1, Mrs Douglas 2 Lucky cup: Mrs MeLnnes. A vote of thanks was passed to Mrs R. D. Robinson for the use of her home and grounds. ,
