THE WAKANUI MEETING. The monthly meeting of the Wakanui Women’s Institute was held in the hall, the president (Mrs Dick) presiding. The standing committee was nominated for next year. An elocutionary item was given by Mrs J. M. (Moore. Competitions resulted: Premier bloom (large), Mrs Dick 1, Mrs Watson 2, Mrs Moore J. Premier bloom (small): Mrs (files 1, Mrs DickA#rs Moore and Mrs Watson (equal) J. Christinas gift: Mrs Dick 1, Mrs Kingsbury 2, Airs Moore 3. Paper hat: (Mrs Dick 1, Mrs Kingsbury % Mrs Moore 3. Posy: Mrs Aloore 1, Mrs Dick 2, Mrs Kingsbury 3. Prettiest jam dish: Mrs Kingsbury 1, -'Mrs Dick 2, Airs Aloore 3. Cold sweet: Airs Dick 1, Mrs Kingsbury 2. The hostesses were Alesdamesi Kingsbury and Hendrie. •
