BOWLING.
THE ASHBURTON CLUB. The main items of interest on the Ashburton Bowling Club’s greens last week were the interchange of visits between the Ashburton and Allenton Clubs. Op Wednesday evening seven fours went to Allenton, to play one of tlio popular evening matches and wore defeated by a good margin.
The final for the Bullock Pennant was played on Saturday on the Ashburton green between Allenton and Ashburton. Ashburton won three out’ ot four games played and won by 93 to 05.
Good progress is being made with the club competitions. In the second round of the champion singles Cameron beat Porter after a close game, the score being 19 all on the 20th bead. Finn beat Gray, Cockroft boat Auld, and Clarke beat Dickenson.
Champion Pairs—Second Round: Penman and Auld beat Lowry' and Oliver; Finn and Cameron beat Dickenson and Lewis. The first round of the champion fours lias been completed. Results are, skips names only :—Cameron a bye ; Milsom boat Lowry; W. R. Lane beat Oliver; Higgins beat. Cockroft.
The second round of the club fours will he played on Saturday, December 20. Skips will assist if they will arrange to have their fours complete.
