ENTERTAINMENTS.

ST. JAMES THEATRE. “North West Mounted Police,” starring Gary Cooper and \fadeleine Carroll, will have its final presentation to-night. Filmed in technicolour it is a stirring motion picture story of the gallantry and bravery of the worldfamous Mounties. Thrill and action fans are well catered for in tliis week’s special double bill showing at 7.45 on Thursday and Friday and again at 2 p.m. on Friday. “The Ramparts We Watch” is the March of Time’s first full-length feature film and sensationally includes the German-made film “Baptism of Fife,” which was produced by Dr. Goebbels to demoralise the world bv showing the might of German arms the film, however, was confiscated as contraband by the British Navy at Bermuda and is included in “The Ramparts We Wbtch” and despite Goebbels boastful pictorial prophesy it becomes a damning indictment of Hitlerism—the British Empire and the men of the bulldog breed still survive in greater glory. The associate feature, “Constantinople Express,” is an action-packed story of espionage and adventure in unsettled Europe. Rex Harrison, Valerie Hobson and John Loder are starred.
