WOMEN’S DIVISION.

MITCHAM-ROKEBY BRANCH. The monthly meeting of the Mitcham-Rokeby branch of the Women’s Division of the Farmers’ Union was held at Mrs Wilkinson’s residence, Mrs Zeigler presiding in the absence of the president (Mrs Penney).

Motions of sympathy with Mesdames Hammond and Campbell in their recent bereavements were carried in silence.

A letter of appreciation was read from Sergeant W. Thompson in Egypt. Competitions resulted: Mrs Zeigler 1, Mrs Wilkinson 2. Spring flowers, six varieties: Mrs Zeigler 1. Best Is worth of goods suitable for soldiers: Miss N. Wilkinson 1, Mrs Zeigler 2. After afternoon tea had been served members visited the flower show held at Chertsey where a fine display of flowers and handwork was seen.
