The Washington correspondent of the “New York Times” says the United States and Britain have reached a comprehensive agreement whereundei Britain will accept drastic reductions in her export trade for the duration of the war. Details are expected to lie ;announced simultaneously in London and Washington, to-morrow. The object is to regulate, com petition between American and British companies in the export market anti to remove a suspicion that the British must continue to he able to maintain about two-thirds of their normal export trade in order to secure essential dollar exchange for materials which cannot he purchased in the United States. '
