OVERSEAS PARCELS.

THE HAMPSTEAD RED CROSS. A committee to deal with the sending of parcels to soldiers overseas was formed at the monthly meeting of the Hampstead sub-branch of the Red Cross Society. Mrs G. Chapman was appointed convener, to be assisted by J. Smith, J. McQuarters, H. Flatman, Dickson and C. S. Hawkey. In the absence of the president, the vice-president (Mrs N. W. Corbett) presided. There was a fair attendance. One new member was welcomed. The secretary was instructed to send letters of cheer to Mesdames K. S. McEaehen and W. H. Robinson. It was decided to seek'the addresses of Hampstead men serving overseas, and other particulars about them by September 15. It was decided to donate 10s toward the voluntary aid room in Ashburton. Mrs Cook read a report of a delegates’ meeting held in Ashburton recently. The next meeting was arranged for Tuesday, September 30.
