BIGAMY CHARGE.

WOMAN PLACED ON PROBATION. (P.A.) CHRISTCHURCH, Sept. 9. “You must realise that bigamy is a serious offence and you khow that von'are not entitled to marry again while you are not divorced from your husband.” said His Honor Mr Justice Northcroft in the Supreme,-Onurt today in admitting Mary Elizabeth Rnngi, alias Edith Tomlinson, who pleaded guilty to bigamy, to two years’ probation. His Honor said that the Probation Officer’s report showed that Rnngi’s present association was not a desirable one, and he thought that in the interests of the public and herself it should be terminated. Under the terms of probation, Rnngi will be under the control of the [Probation Office.
