WOMEN’S DIVISION.

MITCHAM-ROKEBY MEETING. . The monthly meeting of the Mit-cham-Rokeby branch of the Women’s Division of the Farmers’ Union was held at Mi’s Zeigler’s residence, the president (Mrs Penney) presiding. A motion of sympathy with Mrs G. Moore in her illness was carried. A vote of thanks was passed to Mrs Zeigler for having typed the programmes for the year. The roll call, “My favourite tea dish for the winter,” brought forth some good recipes. The Rev. W. Wisdom gave an interesting talk op Ireland. Competitions resulted: —Bloom, Mrs V. Wilkinson 1, Mrs Zeigler 2, Mrs Penney 3; hot Water bottle cover made from material, Mrs Penney 1, Miss Penney 2, Mrs Wilkinson 3. Ten hot water bottle covers w'ere handed in for the Red Cross. Mrs Zeigler was thanked for the use of her room and for acting as hostess.
