PATROLS IN THE TOBRUK AREA. ' * I ENEMY MINEFIELDS DESTROYED (Rec. 9.30 a.m,) LONDON, Aug. 4. A communique issued by headquarters at Cairo states: “Our offensive patrols from Tobruk continued their aggressive activity 7. Although valuable Avork has been done in locating and destroying fiostiTe enemy minefields, the enem.v has apparently refused contact by withdrawing from his fonvard positions under cover of darkness. “In the frontier area patrols from our mechanised units again harassed the enemy 7 , particularly by r artillery fire.” —British Official Wireless.
