The Management Committee of the Ashburton Rugby Union last evening carried a motion of sympathy with Mr F. Kennedy in the death of a brother. Wilson (secretary of the Ashburton Silver Band) returned to Ashburton this morning after having attended the annual meeting of the Now Zealand Brass Bands’ Association at Wellington. At a practice of the Ashburton Silver Band last evening those present stood in silence out of respect to the late Mr C. O. Davidson, a former member of the Band.
