The Management Committee of the Ashburton Rugby Union last evening carried a motion of sympathy with Mr F. Kennedy in the death of a brother. Mr Cordell Hull (Secretary of State) who has boon indisposed has fully recovered. He returned to the. State Department yesterday, says a. "Washington cablegram. Mr A. C. Wilson (secretary of the Ashburton Silver Band) returned to Ashburton this morning after having attended the annual meeting of the Now Zealand Brass Bands’ Association at Wellington. At a practice of the Ashburton Silver Band last evening those present stood in silence out of respect to the late Mr C. O. Davidson, a former member of the Band. Mr Davidson’s son was also a. bandsman before he left for overseas in the Railway Construction Company. The makers claim that no matter what you have wrong with you,,. R.U.R. will do you good.
