BASKETBALL.
DOMINION TOURNEY AT ROTORUA COMMENCING ON AUGUST 27. Tho New Zealand Basketball Association has advised the Ashburton Association last evening that- the New Zealand tournament will be held at Rotorua this year, commencing oh Wednesday, August 27. The Ashburton Association, which met last evening, did not take any action in the matter. The president (Mr S. G. Macfarlnne) presided. The sevon-a-side tournament was arranged for Saturday, August 16, and the knock-out tournament for Saturday, August 30.

Technical Old Girls, 2.45, II (Mr Meredith); St. Stephen’s v. Technical High School, 1 2..0, 111 (Miss Robinson); St. Andrew’s v. Baring Squnrc, 2.45, 111 (Miss M. Sutton); High School y.
