FRENCH AT SALONIKA.

CONFIRMATORY EVIDENCE. TROOPS ON SUNKEN VESSEL. (Rcc. 1.5 p.m.) ANKARA, July 8. The French fleet auxiliary St. Dklier, which was sunk by a British submarine while abusing Turkish territorial waters, had 264 Vichy troops and 16 of a crew‘a board. All were saved and interned, except 20 injured, of whom five died.

The presence of the troops appears to confirm the earlier reports that Vichy forces have arrived at Salonika. Two other French vessels arc, reported to have left Salonika for Beirut.
