LODGE MEETINGS.
.THE TINWALD ODDFELLOWS. V. 1 ' The quarterly summoned meeting of the Loyal Tinwald Lodge, M.U.1.0.0. F., was held last evening when the N.G. (Bro. A. F. Rodd) presided. It was reported that six members were on the sick funds,' while one had declared, off. Sick pay amounting to £9 10s was passed in favour of those seven members.
It was resolved to send a. letter of cheer to Bro. Thomas Williams, an old member of the Lodge, who is in. the Christchurch Public Hospital. A letter was received from the U.F.S. Dispensary. Board notifying that it has contracted to supply free medicines under the Social Security scheme, so. that the. current quarter will be the final one for the payment of levies. The, election of officers resulted: — N.Q., Sister R. L. Ilodd; Y.G., Sister C. Cague; E.S., Bro. C. Cague. THE ASHBURTON FORESTERS.
Court Ashburton, A.0.F., mot last evening when the C.R. (Bro. G. H. Penman) presided. Sick-pay amounting to £9 was passed in favour of five members. One candidate was initiated. Congratulations were extended to Bro. W. Bryant, on his re-election to the Hospital Board, and to Bros. W. S. Kerr and W. H. Amos on their election to the Borough Council. Bro. A. M. Penman resigned the office of S.C.R. as he is studying rot the Air Force. Appreciation of his services was expressed by members. It was reported that the plans for the improvements and renovations to the Tancred Street Hall, recently acquired by the lodge, would be complete in a short 1 time. After lodge the Court met the Druids in a card match. The Foresters were tho winners.
