MISSIONARY UNION.

The first meeting of the Lngmhor branch of the Presbyterian Women’s Missionary Union for U) 11 was presided over by the vice-president (Mrs G. R. Watson). A motion of sympathy with tUr F. Hookings in his recent bereavement was passed, members standing.

Interesting missionary letters from Sister Annie, of Ruatahuna, and Sister J. A. Scarrow, of the Homo Mission field, were read by the secretary. It was resolved that at the Mav meeting a bring and buy table be held in order to augment the funds for missions,

A missionary paper entitled “The New Hebrides Revisited,” by the Rt. Rev. T. E. Riddle, was road by Mrs Watson.

Afternoon tea was served by the hostesses, Mesdamos W. .Shoato and W. McCormick, and a social hour was spent.
