TWO ENEMY PLANES SHOT DOWN.

Ail Admiralty communique announced this evening that s two German air- ■— craft had been shot down to-day by tho guns of His Majesty’s . ships. One Wlessorschmitt 110 was shot down by the destroyer Valorous, and the other, a Heinkol 111 by combined fire of the destroyer Avonvale and tho trawler Kinston Beryl. No casualties or dam-r age were sustained by -any, of his y Ma-,, i; jesty’s ships in these encounters. The Admiralty announced to-night: “One of our submarines in the cell-..., - tral Mediterranean carried out a successful attack on a south-bound convoy of lieavily-ladon transjiofisi 7 'and"’’ supply ship's. A ship of about' 12,000." tons was hit by two torpedoes. A ship of about GOOD toils was also-hit by a torpedo.”
